What's it all about here, anyway?
As I undertake the adventure of writing a memoiresque novel that draws on The Jeanne Books, EFT Tapping with Ruby has become a place where communicating with my younger self happens.
We help each other out.
Now in my 60’s, I am in a position to give younger Jeanne what she needed, but didn’t quite know how to get. And I am finding out that younger Jeanne has a lot to teach me, too.
What are The Jeanne Books?
The Jeanne Books are the massive amount of journals that chronicle my highly documented life in 1980s and 90s NYC… and beyond.
The Jeanne Books are the source material for my Ruby writings.
Who is Ruby?
Ruby is Jeanne in the third person. Illustrated as a stick figure in a red dress, combat boots, and scribbly hair.
She is rarely without the blank book she fills up with what’s going on round her and within her….
She is also rarely without her bicylce, the Red Hot Momma-Girl — Red Hot, for short.
Besides being a mere mortal with no shortage of flaws, Ruby is from another part of the universe, here on Earth as part of Rescue Mission “Wake On UP!” That story is told in all its funk-filled, cinimatic glory in The Ruby Books - A White Girl Finds The Funk.

What is EFT Tapping?
My Substack is called EFT Tapping with Ruby, so what is EFT Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Tapping is a therapeutic method you can do on yourself. You tap on acupressure points on your body while tuning into an “issue”. it does things like bring down the stress response, interrupt unwanted patterns, and gives you more access to your unconscious mind. It’s remearkably effective.
Tapping changed my life when I used it in a very targeted way to address my money issues. That’s why I use Ruby to share it with others. You can learn more about it here.
